As the exhibition opener rapidly approaches, the guys talk about Coach Izzo’s projected starting lineup and hear from Miles Bridges about the team’s versatility. They also give their season predictions for Michigan State’s record, tournament seed and more. Does Northwood have a chance to topple the Spartans? Probably not.
S4E2: Brutal November – Oct. 19, 2016
After going months without basketball, the guys are more than willing to overanalyze the Michigan State Madness scrimmage. Then they look ahead to one of the toughest months in MSU basketball history and debate if the Spartans can beat Arizona, Kentucky and Duke. Finally they share their favorite memories from past Izzone Campouts and David Manion really wants you to come visit him.
S4E1: Recruiting, Injuries, Speculation, Madness – Oct. 12, 2016
They’re baaaaack! Blake Froling leads the gang of Ryan Cole, David Manion and Davey Segal back into the studio for another year of Impact Izzone. They kick of the season with a recruiting update and discuss the impact of Ben Carter’s injury. Everyone loves to speculate, so they decided to give out their preseason awards for MVP and Freshman of the Year. What grand entrance will Tom Izzo make at this year’s MSU Madness? Your guess is as good as theirs.
Season 3, Episode 23: Season Finale – April 29, 2016
After a fun-filled, eventful season, the Impact Izzone guys wrap it up until the fall. Blake, Ryan, Davey and David hand out awards to the Michigan State basketball team after a Big Ten tournament championship season finished too early in a shocking first-round upset loss to Middle Tennessee State. Then things get feisty when they debate the professional futures of Denzel Valentine and Deyonta Davis. Finally, the episode ends with an emotional sendoff, thanks to the musical talents of Sarah McLachlan.
Season 3, Episode 22: Turmoil for Sparty – April 12, 2016
It has been quite a rough month for the Spartans. First, they lost to Middle Tennessee in the first round of the NCAA Tournament. Then, Denzel Valentine lost out on the two major Player of the Year awards to Oklahoma’s Buddy Hield. Then, sophomores Marvin Clark Jr. and Javon Bess transferred. Then, prized recruit Josh Jackson picked Kansas over MSU. Then, freshman forward Deyonta Davis declared for the draft.
The guys debate whether or not Davis made the right decision heading to the NBA and give Spartans fans a reason to stay optimistic for next season.
